Ayung River rafting
Class II–III rapids in the Ayung canyon.
Book Ayung River rafting from $28 per person. Send the quote by WhatsApp or email and the desk confirms the date. Card numbers are not taken here.

The Ayung is the rafting river guests mean when they say Ubud. You paddle as a team through a gorge of ferns, small waterfalls, and carved stone. The grade is Class II–III: real rapids, with recovery pools, and a guide in the raft who calls the strokes.
The put-in stair sits above Kedewatan. The exact steps can shift after rain, so the pin goes out the afternoon before. Lunch is served after you change. Tubing on the Wos is a different river and a different ticket.
How the session runs
Step 1
Put-in above Kedewatan
You meet the crew, sign the safety sheet, and walk the stair to the river.
Step 2
Practice strokes
A few quiet metres to learn forward, back, and the ‘get down’ call.
Step 3
Canyon run
Class II–III rapids, cliff walls, and short photo stops where the guide pulls in.
Step 4
Take-out and lunch
Change into dry clothes and eat. The car, if you booked one, is waiting.
Bring
- Swimsuit or clothes that can stay wet
- Dry clothes and a small towel if you want one beyond the base
- Strap for glasses
- Reef-safe sunscreen applied before the life jacket
Worth adding in the notes
- Confident swimmers from about age 7 do well. Tell us about younger children before you book.
Who it suits
Friends and families who want to paddle and get splashed.
You want to sit still and drift. Canyon tubing on the Wos is the quieter river day.
Ages: About 7+, with basic swimming confidence.
