Where you put in
The commercial rafting stretch near Ubud uses the Ayung upstream of Kedewatan. Our working pin is about -8.4935, 115.2510, 15–25 minutes from the palace crossroads. Stairs to the water move after heavy rain, so the confirmation message carries the current pin, not a guess from an old blog.
You are in a canyon within minutes: fern walls, small waterfalls, and the occasional stone carving at a shrine the guide will point out if the eddy is calm. The take-out has a changing room and lunch.
What Class II–III means on this run
You will paddle. Waves come over the tube of the raft. There are drops that bounce the boat and flat sections where the guide resets the crew. It is a standard first rafting day, not a expedition rapid. You should be able to swim a few strokes with a life jacket and follow a shouted command.
Glasses need a strap. Phones need a dry bag you brought, or they stay in the car. The crew is not a camera boat.

A solo traveller cannot open a raft alone. If another booking is already on that departure we can sometimes pair you. If not, we will say so before you pay, rather than inventing a private-raft price in the small print.
Who should choose tubing instead
Pick the Wos tube if you want to sit, drift, and skip the paddle commands. Pick the Ayung if the splash is the reason you came. Both can sit on the same date as Sedang ATV. They are awkward on the same date as each other only when the clock gets tight — the three-sport mix exists, and it starts early.
