Where the hot spring fits in the day
- Hotel pickup: 02:00–03:00 for sunrise, 14:30–15:30 for sunset.
- The Penelokan rim viewpoint for the light over Lake Batur and Mount Agung.
- The black lava field below the cone for photos on the rock.
- A sit-down meal: breakfast on the sunrise run.
- The natural hot spring, if you added it. Warm water feels good after a cold rim.
- An optional free stop at a Kintamani coffee plantation, then the same jeep back to your hotel.
The hot spring suits the sunrise run best, because the rim is cold before dawn. On the sunset run, ask on WhatsApp whether the hot spring fits before the drive back.
What to bring for the hot spring
- Swimwear under your clothes, or to change into.
- A towel and a dry change of clothes for the drive back.
- A warm layer for the rim before you get in the water.
- Say "hot spring" in the booking notes so the driver plans the stop.
