The trek
Pickup from Ubud is around 02:00. You start walking near Toya Bungkah, about -8.2505, 115.4048, and climb volcanic sand for about two hours. Breakfast is on the rim as the sun clears Mount Agung and the lake, when the cloud allows. You are back at the hotel late morning. No ropes. A jacket matters.
The jeep
The private 4×4 is your group only, minimum two. Sunrise is a six-to-seven-hour door-to-door. Sunset is four to five. The viewpoint is on the Penelokan rim, about -8.2715, 115.3540. Sit-in means you stay with the vehicle. Tracking means a guided walk that is still not the summit path. The meal is at a table, not on a rock.
Add the natural hot spring for $10 per person if you want a soak on the way down. The entrance is included in that add-on. Say so in the quote.
