Who drives, and who sits behind
The Sedang quad is automatic, and the briefing is in English, but the throttle still needs a driver who is at least 16 and can reach the controls. A child in the insurance band, ages 6–65, can take the passenger seat on a tandem when the arena can fit a helmet and the child can hold the grips. Under 6 is outside that insurance description. Do not book a passenger seat for a younger child and expect the gate to sort it out on the morning.
Send the age and the height in the notes. The written reply is the confirmation that the seat works. A helmet that does not fit means the child does not ride.

The tandem price is for the machine, not per seat. Two tandems on one booking are $66 per quad. A single added for a second adult stays its own line: $47 when that line is one rider. The prices do not blend across a tandem and a single. Lunch, helmets, boot shoes, and the briefing are inside those numbers.
What the morning is like with a child
- The session is 2–4 hours, including gear, the jungle line, a shower, and lunch. It is muddy.
- Bring a dry set for the child and for the driver. The arena fits the helmet and the boots.
- The passenger stays seated and follows the guide’s pace. This is not a cave ride and not a waterfall ride.
- Back, neck, or a pregnancy belong in the notes before you pay. The arena can move you to another ticket or decline the seat.
The gate is All New Bali Adventure, Jalan Raya Krasan, Sedang, Abiansemal, Badung 80352, pin -8.5452, 115.2118, about 30–40 minutes from central Ubud. The hotel shuttle is $34 once for the whole family, pickup and drop-off, or $0 if you drive to the pin. One tandem plus that shuttle is $103.
Kuber Bali Adventure in Payangan is a different operator. Their age rule applies to their cave ride, not to this tandem. Book that ticket on their site if the cave is what you want.
