Where the date is held

The shared price includes the round trip from a hotel in the Ubud area. A hotel in Canggu, Sanur, or Nusa Dua is outside that pickup, and Balian Tour quotes the car on their own page. The figure above is the one published when this guide was written. The booking page is where you confirm it still stands.

From central UbudA short hotel pickup, not the Sedang ATV gate

Bedulu sits east of central Ubud, in Gianyar. It is not Jalan Raya Krasan in Sedang, and it is not a stall on Monkey Forest Road. The driver should follow the pin on the Balian Tour page. The rice-field photograph on this guide is a nearby landscape, not a picture of their pavilion.

What the hours are for

  • Plan on 3–4 hours from pickup to drop-off.
  • A morning class starts with the local market, then the kitchen.
  • An afternoon class uses the rice-field walk in Tumang before you cook.
  • You work at your own station. The group stops at 8 guests.
  • Instruction is in English, with Chef Wayan Sudiana.
  • You sit down and eat the food you cooked. That meal is part of the class.

The shared menu they publish runs through a spice paste, sate on lemongrass, sambal matah, banana-leaf parcels, lawar, urab, tempeh, pandan crepes, and a coconut porridge, plus a chicken dish on the standard set. Vegetarian and vegan versions are made when you ask at booking. Tell them about allergies on that same page, before the day.

What to wear

  • Shoes you can walk in at a market and on a paddy path.
  • Light clothes. The kitchen is an open village pavilion.
  • A hat for the market or the field walk.
  • A phone if you want photos of the ingredients. Nobody needs a knife roll.

Same day as an outdoor sport

The class fills a morning or an afternoon. Sedang ATV, Ayung rafting, and Wos tubing also want a morning if you are coming from an Ubud hotel. Pick one block. A Pejeng bike ride is the outdoor day that sits closest to Bedulu, and it is still a separate ticket on this desk. Gitgit canyoning and a cooking class do not share a date.

WhatsApp +62 817 7572 3663 confirms ATV, rafting, tubing, and the other sports on this rate card. The Tumang kitchen is confirmed on the Balian Tour page.
