Pick the finish first

Both days start in Tabanan jungle: dirt, roots, short stream crossings, village connectors. The terrace route spends the long version of the day climbing toward Jatiluwih’s subak bowl, near -8.368, 115.132. The sunset route points west and parks the bikes for the last light on the sand. You do not get both finishes unless you book two dates.

Which bike to ask for

• KLX 150-class: the standard trail bike, for riders who have used a clutch.
• Scooter-style dual-sport: lower seat, for strong scooter riders who want dirt without a tall enduro.
• Neither is the Kintamani 250. If you want lava sand, change guides.

Four hours or eight

Four hours is a proper ride that stays nearer the handover. Eight hours is how the terrace view or a relaxed beach ending fits. Write the number in the quote. ‘As long as possible’ is how groups miss sunset or arrive at Jatiluwih as the gate is closing.
